Digital Design Engineer

We are looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary team to help us execute complex development programs. The work includes the development of one-of-a-kind multi-mode sensing capabilities. As a Senior Digital Engineer, you will play a critical role in hardware and sensor development through work including simulation, design, development, prototyping, and testing.

What you’ll do:

• Execute engineering tasks including in the analysis, design, development, and testing of next-generation radar, radiometer and sonar systems.
• Contribute to and/or lead the development of various digital designs.
• Support requirements development to meet radar system needs.
• Develop test plans/test cases for digital designs.
• Present design status and risk assessment to program management and program systems engineers.

What you bring:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 3 years relevant experience engineering (multiple roles available with varying levels of experience)
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Experience with printed circuit board design tools (i.e. Altium)
• Experience in printed circuit board layout and procurements
• Experience with Xilinx-based FPGA designs
• Experience with RF and/or sonar systems
• Ability to work well collaboratively and independently

Desired:

• Experience with Zynq and Zynq Ultrascale or equivalent SoC/MPSoC processors
• DDR3 and DDR4 memory interface experience
• FPGA-based ethernet design experience
• Electrical systems engineering experience
• Experience working with complex systems involving multi-disciplinary technical teams with coupled hardware and software development for space, aircraft, and/or unmanned platform applications
• Experience in a startup environment
