Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our manufacturing team within the water industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, a keen understanding of water systems, and the ability to provide technical support and solutions to optimize our products and services. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including R&D, sales, and customer support, to ensure the successful implementation and performance of our water-related applications.

- Works primarily with the direct sales team, reviews customer requirements on small to medium complex projects, determines appropriate process solutions by performing calculations using standard tools.
- Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing.
- Works with Drafters, creates drawings as required for the application.
- Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels.
- Effectively communicates solution to internal and external customers.
- Determines and understands risk associated with work product.
- Assists in mentoring AE I level engineers on business processes and smaller applications.
Formal Education
- Requires BS/BA degree in Engineering
- 2 yrs of experience
- Advanced knowledge of business tools, processes and procedures.
- Ability to conduct and understand water quality projections.
- Competency in multiple standard equipment platforms and their employment.
- Thorough understanding of common components and their application.
- Able to execute complex tasks with limited guidance.
- Effectively collaborates with other disciplines in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome.
- General understanding of financial principals as related to tasks assigned.
- Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
