1 CAD Technician Job in Prairie, MN
EVS is Hiring a Remote CAD Technician
- Provide construction document production support
- Coordinate with various design team disciplines including civil engineers, structural engineers, and surveyors
- Utilize AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs. Construction documents will include site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, single line diagrams, construction details, equipment, and conduit details etc.
- Gain some understanding of NEC 2017/2020 and keeping up with emerging technologies
- Create wiring/cable schedule-based takeoffs and sizing input from senior designers and engineers
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of EVS design/CAD standards and provide input for improvement
- Associates Degree or Technical School Certificate in Electrical Design, Solar Design, Architectural/Engineering Drafting, or related degree
- 2-5 years of experience in the drafting/design of electrical power/distribution systems
- 1 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Must have proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of NEC
- Experience and knowledge of basic electrical design concepts
- Working knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude is
- Must be a supportive team member, able to work in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadline
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS
- NABCEP Certification
- Working knowledge with PVsyst, Helioscope, SAM, or other PV production modeling software
- Experience with Helios 3D
