Position OverviewThe Senior Product Marketing Mgr, MRD will be responsible for leading the commercial launch and executing across the entire spectrum of brand strategy and promotional marketing activity for our Molecular Residual Disease (MRD) product. This role will lead garnering deep customer insights, building market segmentation, developing product and portfolio positioning, crafting market development strategies, defining tactics and content, ensuring operational readiness, and sustaining market growth. This individual will ideate, execute, and deliver brand campaigns, marketing materials, messaging, market development activities, key customer relationships, website content, and various other projects/programs directly promoting the product.
Essential DutiesInclude but are not limited to the following:
  • Leading the broad commercialization and launch strategy of the MRD product.
  • Support the tactical execution of select marketing initiatives delivering against predefined strategies to achieve product and business objectives and goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of promotional materials and programs directed at key customers with an eye towards driving awareness and education.
  • Analyze and incorporate key market and clinical trends, customer needs and segmentation, disease state insights, and competitive offerings for the development of the product’s commercialization strategy.
  • Develop product and portfolio positioning, messaging, and brand marketing campaigns.
  • Create clear, effective, and integrated strategies, plans, and tactics for product launches, such as market access planning, publication planning, content development, market development, customer engagement, customer experience, and lead generation.
  • Lead ideation and development of promotional materials for oncologists and pathologists.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Learning, Corporate Communications, Lifecycle Management, R&D, Market Access, and Medical Affairs on a wide range of collaborative projects.
  • Respond to questions and requests related to department programs and functions and keep current on all technical and clinical data associated with the assay(s), along with primary product positioning, messages, and promotional collateral.
  • Work directly and develop positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales, training, digital marketing, corporate communications, medical affairs, and sales operations on a wide range of projects.
  • Create departmental memoranda and presentations, as needed, and evangelize on the products in the portfolio.
  • Coordinate timely medical, regulatory, and legal review of promotional materials and work closely with outside vendors to create promotional tools.
  • Attend outside meetings and prepare reports, as needed, to convey scientific or competitive information that may affect our markets and product positioning.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative approach to work and problem solving.
  • Ability to manage external agencies and vendors to timelines and budgets.
  • Willingness to exercise initiative in cases where decisions need to be made, coupled with the tact and judgment to do so appropriately.
  • Ability to manage deliverables from start to finish under deadlines and meeting budget.
  • Ability to bring a positive mental attitude to daily tasks and become a net contributor to overall morale.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal, tact, composure, and confidentiality to coordinate complex personnel issues, schedules, travel, and logistical projects and programs in and outside of Exact Sciences.
  • Ability to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Strong writing skills for memos, letters, slide decks, product brochures, data analyses, with proper grammar and spelling.
  • Analytic skills with scientific papers and market intelligence.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or Marketing.
  • 8 years of professional experience working in a team setting in the healthcare industry.
  • 5 years of marketing experience in the diagnostic, biopharma, or medical device fields.
  • 3 years of experience in a regulated environment, to include CLIA, FDA, CE, and IVDR.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market development and commercial launches for new products.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully launch and market products in a highly competitive market.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD, MD) in the Life Sciences, Business, or Marketing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical NGS marketing for oncology.
  • Previous experience with IVD product marketing strongly preferred.
  • Field sales experience in oncology is a plus.
Salary Range:
$109,000.00 - $174,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
