Responsibilities :

• Greet patients and prepare them for medical examinations or procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments.
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Assist in coordinating patient referrals and communication between healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain and update medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and handling billing inquiries.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Required to travel between Visalia and Exeter per schedule.
• Reliable transportation and unrestricted driver’s license
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is advantageous.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, clinical procedures, and basic laboratory techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with EPIC is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and patient safety.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
