DescriptionTo work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support production of prototypes, models, test specimens, test fixtures, custom implants and special instruments.

DescriptionTo work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support production of prototypes, models, test specimens, test fixtures, custom implants and special instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support production of prototypes, models, test specimens, test fixtures, custom implants and special instruments and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Independently perform machining operations as instructed by Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers.
- Bead blast, polish and finish surgical instrumentation to meet required cosmetic criteria.
- Produce rapid prototypes in support of the E&D department.
- Provide ideas and feedback to Special Instrument / Custom Implant Team to improve/simplify manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support shop material and tool stocking requirements, organization and equipment maintenance.
- Document processing steps, as necessary, in a router.
- Know and apply the Quality System, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other employees as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years experience with manual mills and lathes
- Welding experience desired
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- CAD experience desired
- Working knowledge of all types of manual equipment
- Familiarity with medical-device manufacturing and documentation desired
- Metal polishing and finishing skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions
