Position Title: Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing complex projects from the initial stages of planning and development through to completion and handover. Qualified candidates are expected to operate efficiently within a given or projected budget and meet deadlines. The Project Manager will bring value to the team by utilizing their Agile/Waterfall/Six-Sigma style project management knowledge to ensure projects are implemented using best practices with all teams across both organizations. This Project Manager role requires a deep understanding of the technology industry, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for delivering high-quality results. This position requires a blend of project management expertise and business analysis capabilities to drive successful project outcomes and support strategic business goals.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in a software development or startup environment. Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. PMP credential required or an equivalent experience of a minimum of eight (8) years of project management experience required. Experience managing projects in Waterfall (3 years), Agile (2 years), and Hybrid (3 years) methodologies. ITIL V3 Certification. DB experience, preferred. Excellent leadership, team management, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to interface with executive level management and give senior level presentations. Strong familiarity with Business Analysis' role in creating requirements, use cases, and functional specifications. Strong demonstration of negotiation and conflict management skills. Knowledge of responsive design, user experience design, data modeling, software integration, and software as a service (SaaS). Relevant experience includes leading work (or projects) in the IT industry, demonstrated technical and/or business expertise, demonstrated experience achieving resolution to complex technical or business issues, and providing direction and leadership to a project team. Experience taking ideas and turning them into actionable steps. Excellent communication, team building, and understanding of program/project best practice methodologies required. PMO experience and proficiency with project management software required to manage a PMO, i.e., dashboard reporting, program management and all additional technologies (PM platforms, Salesforce, SharePoint, Smartsheets, Jira, Confluence, Visio, etc.) and ability to learn new internal PM software required. Ability to work with vendors and provide strong project support required. Multidisciplinary experience (finance, accounting, operations, HR, IT, marketing, sales). Proven ability to creatively solve problems and to influence outcomes through persuasion, effective communications and relationship building.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write moderately complex correspondence. Ability to effectively converse and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis to manage project finances. Strong numerical reasoning to track project metrics and performance indicators. Ability to perform quantitative analysis to support decision-making and risk assessment. Skilled in using mathematical tools and software, such as Excel and project management applications, for data manipulation and analysis. Competence in applying statistical analysis to interpret project data and identify trends. Understanding of basic algebra and probability to support project planning and scheduling.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret feedback from non-skilled technical system users to uncover the source of problems and persistence to efficiently provide solutions. Extreme attention to detail is required to ensure proper documentation of facts. Ability to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints, maintaining the security of data, competing priorities of high significance to the successful function of the department.
Computer Skills:
A significant comfort level in using software and a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office products, web browsers, and CRM tools.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is highly desirable.
Travel:
This position requires 25% travel.
