DIRECTOR OF NURSING -We are seeking a skilled DON to join our dedicated team at our Health Care Center located near Denville NJ.

• Works with a dedicated and supportive team of professionals with the focus of providing the highest quality of resident care in a safe and secure environment.
• The ideal candidate must have exceptional communication, leadership & organizational skills.
• Responsibilities will include overseeing staff development and evaluation, infection control and employee health.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability over all nursing department staff.
• Must have an energetic spirit and assertive personality to manage, lead and direct all nursing staff.
• Develops short and long-term goals for the nursing department.
• Establishes new policies and updates existing policies to improve the standard of care for patients.
• Plans and participates in the admission process by reviewing clinical information suitable for admission to the facility.
• Responds to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with medical staff and other departments to ensure facility efficiency.
• Participates in hiring and training new nursing staff members.
• Meets with and responds to family and patient concerns.
• Available on weekends.

This position requires a valid RN license for NJ and a minimum of two (2) experience as Director of Nursing with both clinical and leadership skills; knowledge of MDS, Medicare, insurance updates and the DOH survey process for Long Term Care.
