Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated individual for a Utility Transmission Civil Project Coordinator position.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the project planning phase with input from applicable stakeholders.

• Gather information and provide estimate packages to the project management team based on feedback from the field.
• Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and create mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Assist in gathering IFC package documents and information from engineering.

Ensure all pre-construction tasks are completed before mobilizing crews to the site.

• Permitting
• Access Rights
• SWPPP-related activities completed.
• IFC documents.
• Materials delivered.
• Specific resources for the project
• Specialized equipment
• Contractor-supported tasks
• Outside agencies (DNR/Forestry)

Attend multiple mandatory project scheduling/coordination meetings as assigned by management.

Run reports to track new projects, project schedule changes, and assigned resources.

• Conduct regular meetings with teams to discuss/review changes.
• Develop strategic sequencing and detailed milestone schedules.

Gather monthly project forecast information and provide a report to the PM team.

• Work with the team on variance explanations.
• Complete Actuals vs Estimates reports

Assist in the coordination to complete all project closeout procedures.

Requirements

• Large project scheduling/finance experience
• Transmission/Substation construction experience
• Construction management education

Minimum Requirements

40 hours per week

• Anticipated overtime depending on workloads, but not to exceed 50 hours per week.

Advanced computer skills

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Project
• P6 Primavera
• Microsoft Teams/Outlook

Ability to adapt to change quickly and work within a diverse, cross-functional team environment. Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent written/verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and sustain strong relationships. Self-disciplined - Skills should include organization, time management, perseverance, and focus.
