Central NJ Company seeks a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, general ledger, financial analysis and billing. The individual will ensure timely and accurate closing of the books. Must have the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and be detailed oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to make sound decisions and exercise good judgement. Must have experience analyzing income statements by projects. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the month end close process.
• Review and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and or review monthly Journal Entries
• Review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare audit workpaper schedules as needed.
• Prepare variance P&L by project analysis. 
• Review weekly and monthly billings.
• Upkeep of Accounts Payable and monthly payments. 
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable on monthly billing.
• Manage and upkeep Monthly Cashflow. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Must have at least 3-5 years practical accounting experience
• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and the ability to develop technical accounting skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking
• Experience in Quickbooks Online and Bill.com

Pay: From $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Accounting: 5 years (Must)
• Supervising: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cost accounting in the Janitorial sector a plus 
• Bilingual- English/Spanish a plus
