Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager
Location: Rochester, NY

Job Description:
- Manage the entire estimating process from start to finish, including reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, and analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam and Accubid to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
- Work alongside the accounting department frequently to ensure projects have necessary front end documents and anything needed to bill the contracts completely
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and Accubid
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications
- Solid understanding of project management principles
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with clients and subcontractors
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to clients and team members
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in cost control and budget management
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in estimating and project management within the electrical industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications, primarily MS 365 and estimating software (Accubid)
