Position: Admissions Director

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking an exceptional and dynamic individual to join our team as the Admissions Director.

About the Role:

As the Admissions Director at Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a pivotal role in our organization. Your primary responsibilities include engaging with hospitals and various referral sources promptly and discreetly, liaising with family members and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a seamless admissions process, and collaborating closely with the marketing team to sustain and enhance our daily census across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously evaluate operational areas impacting admissions, providing detailed reports to administration and the corporate team, and actively participating in the development of solutions.
• Support marketing outreach efforts by participating in functions/events to bolster our facilities' positive reputation, foster relationships, and increase referral and admissions rates.
• Clarify visitor and guest privileges, restrictions, and resident care procedures as needed.
• Streamline communication with hospitals to prepare for patient needs upon admission.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to drive consistent admissions and maintain a favorable reputation for Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial verifications before patient admission, effectively communicating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Stay informed about regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes.
• Compile and present monthly statistics to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Proficiency in Medicare requirements and knowledge of insurance providers, including Medicare rules (PDPM), HMO rules (RUGS II & III), and Medicare prescription plans.
• Familiarity with EMR software systems.
• Thorough understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Preferred: Established relationships with hospitals in New Jersey.
