Position: Per-Diem Licensed Physical Therapist
Salary: up to $57hour
We are seeking a Per-Diem Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team of health professionals in delivering outstanding healthcare in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate residents, develop appropriate treatment goals and methods, and implement physical therapy treatment plans.
- Complete all related documentation and record-keeping regarding these services.
- Apply therapeutic techniques in areas such as gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, sitting and standing skills, balance, and orientation.
- Design and fit adaptive devices, and train residents in the use of adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics.
- Select physical modalities suited to the individual's needs, physical capacity, mobility activities, and diagnosis.
- Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident.
- Instruct residents in the skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities, and evaluate their progress, attitudes, and behavior related to rehabilitative potential.
- Adapt programs according to the needs of individual residents.
- Attend and contribute to resident care, staffing conferences, and other related meetings.
- Supervise supportive personnel in accordance with state and professional standards.
- Conduct training programs and participate in training medical, nursing, and other personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
- Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Clean, maintain, identify, and report the need for repair of equipment as necessary.
- Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
