Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training, and discipline. Inspects seats visually for cosmetic defects according to customer standard. Inspects seats for assembly completion (No missing parts and properly functions). Checks torque of fasteners/bolts required by specification. Reports quality issues to Team Leader and rejects nonconforming seats. Follows standardized inspection procedures and work sequence for each process. Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods. Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area. Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects. Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested. Understands and follows all SAIA policies and procedures. Remains proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process. Uses key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement. Performs other duties as requested.
