Excentia Human Services is Hiring an Employment Specialist Near Lancaster, PA

As an Employment Specialist you will be responsible for providing comprehensive supports to neurodiverse individuals and other special populations in their pursuit of competitive integrated employment. In this role you will utilize various assessments to understand the job seeker’s unique abilities, assist with all aspects of the job search process, and offering on-the-job support as needed. A strength-based mindset is essential to foster positive outcomes, successful job placement, and sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive assessment and planning, effective job search assistance, job placement and coaching, detailed documentation and reporting, and a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships through collaboration and continued outreach.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized and attentive to detail, and the possess the ability to problem-solve and adapt strategies to attain positive outcomes. Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred with 1 year working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

  • Lancaster, PA (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Lancaster, PA: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
