The Exchange Club’s Family Center of the Central Piedmont, a non-profit, child abuse prevention and treatment agency, is actively seeking a part-time group facilitator to work in our Parent Teen Solutions program in Orange County. The main duties are to provide group facilitation, instruction, and skill building to teens and their families in the program. The candidate will have either a required Associate degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, or other related Human Services field which is preferred. Candidate will have experience post-graduation in working with at-risk families, children, and youth. Experience in working with child abuse and neglect at-risk populations and non-profits is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based programming, facilitating groups, motivating groups to achieve positive outcomes, and bi-lingual ability preferred. The candidate will also demonstrate an attention to detail, organizational and multitasking abilities, reliability and strong work ethic, ability to work independently, group facilitation, effective communicator, and ability to solve complex problems under deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and email servers, office machinery, and general computer skills required. Duties included: responsible for co-facilitating 3–14-week group counseling sessions on parenting skills, life skills, and family functioning along with the co-facilitator. Duties also can include assisting with intakes and participating in events with the non-profit.
