Job Overview: As a Dental Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of dental insurance claims and billing processes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the practice by accurately processing insurance claims, and communicating effectively with insurance companies and patients.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and confirm coverage for dental procedures.
• Coordinate with patients to collect any outstanding balances or copayments.
• Maintain organized records of insurance claims, payments, and correspondence.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, procedures, and billing codes.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure accurate documentation and coding of dental procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting, preferably in a billing or insurance coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and terminology.
• Proficiency in using dental practice management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 18 per week
