CNC Operator

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of CNC machining experience- preferred
• Tool and die machining experience- preferred
• Ability to read a print.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to run more than one machine.
• Organization skills
• Basic math skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.

All employees must be adaptable. Employees may be required to cross-train into other departments to provide flexibility to the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine. While maintaining quality and safety standards and maintaining equipment and supplies

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Programs mills by entering instructions setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting, and reprogramming controls, sharpening, and replacing worn tools.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
