Location: Ball Ground, GA - Onsite
Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the US team in enhancing existing products and introducing new ones to align with the company's strategic objectives. Incorporate industry insights, market trends, and consumer behaviors into project planning.
- Collaborate with Factory Engineers to steer Innovation, Quality, and Performance Standards, Research and Development goals, assess market feasibility, and determine project costs and resource needs.
- Occasionally travel to vendor factories, subject to approval, to deliver training and guidance for product design and production.
- Develop and implement Stage Gate protocols to oversee and evaluate progress at all stages of design, manufacturing, and packaging processes. Ensure timely completion of new product development (NPD) projects with professionalism across the organization.
- Uphold Quality Standards. Analyze performance metrics and provide guidance to factories for implementing enhancements. Recruit and oversee a network of Field Quality Testers and third-party providers (e.g., Big Sky Tools).
- Negotiate service agreements and evaluate the performance of approved third-party design vendors within the company's budgetary constraints.
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication with all stakeholders, including colleagues, management, customers, factories, and vendors.
- Negotiate vendor payment terms and pricing.
- Manage pricing templates for internal use in preparing customer quotations.
- Experience in product development and quality control within Pneumatic Power Tools, Compressor, or Water Pump sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Stage-Gate Systems.
- Strong process orientation with a proven track record of developing repeatable processes or enhancing existing ones in product development. Capable of managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Excellent Project Management skills, including the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions to drive projects to completion. Skilled in resource alignment and effective management of personnel.
- Ability to interpret and respond to various requests from customers, regulatory bodies, and industry standards organizations.
- Experience in product development and quality control.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
