Our client is currently seeking qualified candidates for the opening of Associate Product Manager who will be responsible for product line planning & assortment strategies for the company. This role will be involved strategic decision making and go to market planning involving pricing, sales strategy, and consumer needs. The candidate will be expected to present findings with recommended plans leading research activities, advertising campaigns and major initiatives related to the brands within the portfolio of products
Duties
* Conduct competitor analysis, review offerings from competitors, and generate summary of competitor landscape in product categories including their market share
* Responsible for product design & development assistance
* Involved in line development to ensure market adherence to consumer needs
* Review & Complete master assortments to compete with the changing market and consumer specifications
* Contribute to sampling, buyer meetings and seeding decisions
* Work closely with sales on sell-in while preparing collateral for key customer accounts
* Contribute to sales for customer presentations for both internal and external key partners
* Analyse consumer needs, preferences and shopping behaviors to help drive development decisions
* Focus on product portfolio management to include new product concepts for company brands and assigned brands
* Assist with inventory management including sku rationalization and style discontinuations
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree Strongly Preferred
* Two to Five years of merchandise planning, marketing, and manufacturing or retail industry experience
* Brand experience would be a plus
* Ability to be highly market centric, identify trends and optimize assortment based on consumer inputs from multiple consumer touchpoints
