Our client is a boutique labor and employment firm based in Hauppauge. The firm has been recognized by SuperLawyers for employment litigation since 2019, is often on the forefront of evolving legal issues in the labor and employment arena, and maintains a significant class action practice. While the firm primarily represents employees, there are also opportunities to provide counsel, advice and representation to management in both pre-suit and litigation matters.

The firm offers associates meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting and defending depositions and direct interaction with clients in a collegial and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years’ experience as a labor lawyer or employment attorney and the desire to be part of a dynamic team of professionals.

Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Handle employment discrimination and wage/hour matters in federal court from inception to trial, including client intake, developing case strategy, preparing pleadings, managing discovery, conducting and defending depositions, performing legal research and analysis, writing briefs, and arguing motions and appeals

Litigation Attorney Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of federal employment litigation experience
  • NYS Bar admission
  • Admitted to practice in Federal Court
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters from inception to trial
  • Exceptional research and writing skills; and
  • Demonstrated interest in employment law and/or civil rights
