Our stable Brooklyn Real Estate client with hybrid schedule seeks Senior Accountant with commercial building and/or retail experience. Firm offers outstanding benefits package, office culture and growth opportunities. 2 days WFH!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor General Ledger to ensure transactions are reported in accordance with GAAP
- Manage loan draws and monitor cost center operations
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide explanations
- Work closely with team in assisting with M/Q/Y end closings
- Preparation of monthly reporting packages
- Research and analyze expenses for upper management
- Ad hoc special projects as requested
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience in real estate, preferably commercial
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Strong Excel a must; familiar with real estate software i.e., Yardi/MRI/MDS
