PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

An entry-level to mid-level attorney responsible for providing full legal service to clients under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney. Carries out legal assignments, including research and preparation of contracts and briefs. Performs non-routine legal assignments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments that are varied.
• Assists more experienced attorneys in representing Exelon in regulatory proceedings and/or relevant litigation.
• Advises clients with respect to all legal matters.
• Responsible for developing an understanding of each assigned client's business and business philosophy.
• Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel.
• Projects / duties as assigned

JOB SCOPE

• Supports more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel.
• Able to think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve Company objectives and manage risk.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in one or both of the relevant jurisdictions of New Jersey and Delaware
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly - both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working within a utility or regulatory agency.

• Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $128,800-$193,200
