Job Title: Sr. Consultant*** This role will be Hybrid role with 4 days onsite in Philadelphia, PA. ***Train & mentor a team of professionals (Senior Associates/Associates) on risk advisory, finance transformation, tool implementation and robotics projects across Retail, Technology and Financial services verticals.Supervises a team that focuses on doing Enterprise Risk Assessments for large American businesses (Most of them publicly traded on NASDAQ/NYSE). There are multiple projects running in parallel at different client organizations (Mostly Fortune 500 clients) and Rohit is responsible for the overall success of his team and performance of the projects run by his team.Assign responsibilities to team members and review their performance on various projects. Validate and approve final deliverables prepared by the team members before they are implemented as a final solution.Act as client's primary escalation point for the team and direct corrective action to the team members.Supervising the work assigned to the team members / direct reportees.Review includes assessing work completed against specified timelines / target dates. Coach, mentor and motivate team members towards project and career success. Weekly review of the quality of work performed by the team members / direct reportees along with providing coaching notes to them. Appraise team performance and take action.Assign individual/team goals at the beginning of the year to the team members and perform half-yearly/annual performance assessments on its basis.Conduct individual performance reviews for direct reports, assign performance ratings and recommend promotions / demotions.Assess performance gaps and recommend trainings and other action Team Direction for Customer Delivery (Managerial responsibility)Establish account goals for the team.Establish client level revenue and margin targets for the monthly/quarterly/yearly, define limits to travel budget, hour allocation of team members etc.Define account growth strategy with team, identify key priority areas for penetration and discuss progress with senior EXL leadership.Direct team members to execute the account growth strategy2.Periodically review delivery performance reports with team before presenting them to clients or EXL Executive group. Lead various client engagements in the areas of governance, risk & compliance (GRC), internal audits, process reviews, standard operating procedures, enterprise risk management, revenue assurance, SOX 404 & Clause 49 assistance. These assignments included working with high-growth clients in industries such as technology, retail and financial services.Lead and direct team members to the engagement, risk management (across planning, service delivery, economics and billing), adoption of best practices and procedures and use of tools for planning, designing, and execution/reporting. Rohit coordinates this for all of the projects within his team's scope.Initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals to achieve specified key milestones within specified timelines.Performing Benefits Realization Management activities to reduce the risk of a completed project being a failure by delivering agreed upon requirements/outputs but failing to deliver the benefits of those requirements. Aim is to ensure the alignment between project outcomes and business strategies.Collaborate with delivery leads, account management, and operational excellence teams to deliver client value through both analytics and industry best practices.3.Client relationship and Team feedback relay.Meet with key client stakeholders (generally executive level management - CFO, Finance Leadership, C-Suite, and Shared Services organizations and understand business needs, suggest solutions and outcomes and seek feedback on my team's performance etc.Direct the team to define all stages of engagement management, including organizing scope/plans as per the guidelines specified in Client SLA/SOW. Responding to missed / about to be missed milestones on a project.Building strong client relationships for gaining new business and repeat businessCarving out new roles / job opportunities by timely capturing the client needs and hiring them.Providing guidance and feedback on performance of team members and leading meetings with client management teams to communicate recommendations. Set Project/Team Budgets & Client Invoicing (Managerial responsibility)Establish account level revenue and profit margin targets for the team for all engagements managed.Participate in EXL consulting Senior Leadership wide budgeting and revenue planningPerform engagement and team expense tracking and analysisReview and approve reports, correspondence, time sheets, invoices, budget reports, financial records, contracts, codes, ordinance, policies, procedures, manuals, reference materials, or other documentation.Advice teams to prepare revenue projections, monitors budget structures throughout the year, and meet with teams to develop the budgets; review budget requests, prepare operating base budget recommendations, facilitate budget allocations, and recommend budget adjustments, as needed.Review client invoices for accurateness and month end closeout prepared by the team.Reviewing time sheets submitted by the team to ensure timely month end billing process.Overseeing monthly invoicing process and presenting it to the management with budgeted numbers.Liaise with clients for timely payment release and updating internal Finance team of the progress. Business Development Activities (Managerial responsibility)Business development towards generating new business.Help team develop client pitches for new sales. These are generally prepared as a response to RFP (Request for Proposal) where EXL is competing against other firmsReview sales collateral material prepared by the teamDesign thinking workshops, and leverage analytics to drive next generation initiatives and innovation in the F&A capabilityPlan and lead client visits to EXL's Digital Experience Center for live demos and generating sales opportunities Client delivery and advisory/mentorshipAdvice clients' independent auditors on process / controls gaps, remediation steps, audit planning, quality reviews, and progress reporting.Attend client's key stakeholders and controllers meetings for review of their financial books, consolidation activities including consolidation journals, analytical reviews, management reporting and work performed by my team.Provide advisory to teams on Revenue recognition reviews in compliance to US GAAP requirements (SAB 104, EITF 08-01, and EITF 00-21, SOP 97/2 etc.)Act as a subject matter expert for client on control reviews in compliance to US GAAP requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, "Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act")
