The Maintenance Technician will assist in daily plant operations, performing rounds and readings, maintaining building systems, and conducting repairs. The role requires proficiency in electrical and HVAC systems, along with general building maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine plant rounds and readings.
• Clean and maintain filters.
• Conduct repairs on various equipment, including compressors, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Assist with any additional tasks as requested by the client.
• Monitor building systems and performance under supervision.
• Utilize various trade skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and HVAC maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Complete preventive and emergency maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Review work orders and estimate time and materials required for repairs.
• Order necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
• Assist with installation and modifications of building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, kitchen equipment, drains, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect new installations for building code and safety regulation compliance.
• Maintain facility lighting, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs.
• Perform carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and summon additional assistance if necessary.
• Escort vendors when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong technical background with a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance work.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, HVAC systems, and general repair.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, and building systems maintenance.
• Certifications:
• No formal certifications required.
• Electrical and HVAC experience are highly desirable.
• Work Environment:
• Must be able to wear a respirator (facility contains leaded materials).
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy loads (50 lbs).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
