Job Title: Maintenance Technician_N (11118-1)Location: 300 S Glengarry Dr, Geneva, IL 60134Duration: 9 months contract to hire (potential)Pay Rate: $24.34/Hr on W2Hours: M-F 8-5 PM Occasional Saturdays and on-call work requiredResponsibilities
Conduct daily rounds and readings for the plant.
Perform cleaning of filters and routine maintenance tasks.
Execute repairs on compressors, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
Address various maintenance needs as requested by the client.
Monitor building system operations and performance under close supervision.
Utilize multiple trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating, and cooling.
Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company safety policies.
Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
Review and complete assigned work orders.
Estimate time and materials required for repairs.
Order necessary materials and supplies.
Assist in the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems including plumbing, kitchen equipment, drains, and HVAC.
Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Maintain lighting systems, clean fixtures, and replace bulbs and lamps.
Perform carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, summoning additional help if required.
Provide vendor escorts as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsMust-Have Skills:
Good technical background in electrical work and HVAC systems.
Additional Information
Must wear respirators as this is a leaded facility.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
Ability to use personal computer or PDA for work order systems, email, ESS, and training.
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Desired Skills
Knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Education

No additional certifications required, but electrical and HVAC experience is highly desirable.
