Expedition Technology (EXP) Inc., in Herndon, VA is seeking a junior level Contracts Specialist to join our team. We are a rapidly growing company that supports the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) with groundbreaking research and development.

As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting Federal contracts, subcontracts, procurement, and proposal planning.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Provide cradle-to-grave contract and subcontract administration support
  • Assist with business development, program management, and engineering as needed including researching RFI requirements, reviewing past performance, interpreting SOW objectives, CDRLS, contract clauses, payment terms & conditions, fee restrictions, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with solicitations, complete representations and certifications (reps and certs), and actively participate in proposal reviews
  • Process contract and subcontract artifacts within corporate environments, maintaining accurate records
  • Utilize the Unanet contracts module and support compliance with FAR and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Organize and triage contractual actions efficiently

Qualifications :

  • 1-3 years' experience in cradle-to-grave contracts administration including contract administration, negotiations, proposal preparation and government pricing
  • U.S. citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • Familiarity with various contract types, including Firm Fixed-Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus and Cost Reimbursable contracts
  • Functional understanding and application of Federal cost principles, government property (FAR part 45), and contract closeouts
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities, with the ability to interact professionally with program managers, finance personnel, and business development teams.
  • Ability to provide contractual advice and insight to customers and clients, including researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex acquisition rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting processes and regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships both internally and externally
  • Recognize and escalate matters to leadership when appropriate.
