Our client, an automotive industry leader, is seeking a Design Release Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Design Release Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting the Driver Air Bag and Steering Wheels team. The ideal candidate will possess strong collaboration skills, be self-driven, and excel in presentations, aligning seamlessly with our organizational values.

Job Title: Design Release Engineer

Location: Warren, MI

Pay: Up to $40/hr Benefits
Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier projects and collaborate closely with suppliers to address their issues effectively.
• Ensure project timelines are met and projects progress smoothly.
• Proactively address open issues to maintain project momentum.
• Serve as the interface between suppliers and the program team or the plant, facilitating smooth communication and alignment.
• Contribute to the development and release of safety restraint systems, particularly in the areas of driver air bags and steering wheels.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with safety restraints within the automotive industry is a plus.
• Ability to lead Product Development Teams (PDT) is advantageous.
