The ideal candidate will have operations leadership and maintenance experience, along with a background in automotive manufacturing.SummaryThe Operations Manager will oversee manufacturing operations on the production floor, ensuring adherence to output, quality, and safety standards. Contributes to the strategic planning and direction of production floor processes and associated specifications.
Tasks
- Develops performance, efficiency, and product quality standards for the production floor.
- Guides production floor supervisors in coordinating department standards with company objectives.
- Supports maintenance planning to ensure equipment uptime through preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Monitors production metrics and collaborates with departments to resolve issues and reinforce positive findings.
- Engages in daily operations, providing support and guidance to supervisors, managing labor levels, and handling disciplinary measures.
- Participates in internal programs, production planning, and strategic objectives for the production floor, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company goals.
- Facilitates cross-departmental communication for problem resolution, new procedure implementation, and production floor plan development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Injection molding preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams.
- In-depth understanding of production floor processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent MS Office Skills
