Expert Staffing West is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team.

Pay: $18-19 hourly

1st shift: 5:00am-5:00pm

2nd shift: 5:00pm-5:00am

More than one year of Machine Operation experience, and forklift experience, required.

The ideal candidate will operate machinery within standard production targets and waste limits, troubleshoot and adjust equipment, ensure product quality, and assist with machine repairs and preventive maintenance. Adherence to quality standards and safety regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of a Roll Doctor Machine
• Operate machinery to meet production targets and minimize waste.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as needed.
• Identify film issues to ensure product quality.
• Track and record production, waste, and material usage.
• Assist with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Quality System policies and procedures.
• Support and maintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, including cleaning schedules, checklists, and audits.
• Promote a safe work environment by following workplace regulations and reporting injuries, accidents, and hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in production or manufacturing.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Intermediate proficiency with gaging instruments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Reliable attendance and ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Forklift Experience required.

A roll doctor machine is a heavy-duty machine that can be used to salvage defective materials. It can be used for a variety of tasks, including:

• Removing defective printing
• Repairing splices
• Re-tensioning loose rolls
• Edge guiding rolls of defective material
• Edge-trimming rolls of non-extensible material
• Butt-roll rewinding
• Correcting telescoped rolls
• Removing defective stock
