Our client is seeking a qualified 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join their team in Chelsea, MA. Food Production Supervisors coordinate food processing and complete duties such as adhering to sanitation standards, setting schedules, monitoring employee performance, overseeing manufacturing processes, solving technical issues, and training workers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operation of food production
• Maintain and comply with all HAACP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, and GMP requirements
• Conducts first piece inspection to ensure conformance to product specifications and schedule.
• Visually inspect the product for any non-conforming areas and set aside any non-conforming products. 
• Conducts audits multiple times per shift to ensure good manufacturing practices (supply monitoring, temperature monitoring, product handling, employee hygiene, and process control)
• Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
• Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
• Place production orders from customers
• Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

​ Qualifications:

• 1-3 years years of Supervisor experience within a manufacturing setting
• Strong understanding of HAACP, OSHA, USDA & GMP requirements
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to perform math (machine speeds, pounds per hour, percentages, area and volume) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
