What You Will Be Doing
  • Prepare construction drawings, plans, and project specifications
  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, grading plans, street improvements, utilities and specifications
  • Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design documents
  • Identify problems, evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to peers and management
  • Collaborate with peers and management as necessary to complete work
  • Prepare and manage storm water calculations and reporting
  • Plot and assemble civil engineering plans and reports
  • Assist other departments with drafting and technical support needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Experience You Will Need
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Thorough knowledge of land development approval process, including site grading, storm water management and the entitlement process
  • Ability to provide technical instruction and organizational skills to complete work in a timely and efficient manner to ensure project tasks are completed on budget and on schedule
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT preferred
