Looking for a Sr. Piping Designer / Checker experienced in Navisworks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and ShipConstructor. Additionally, the candidate must be able to design and/or check piping related equipment, piping arrangements, spool drawings, pumps, motors, and valves and also need to have Maritime experience.
This position is open to remote.DutiesDesign and check piping related equipment
Spool Drawings
Check Production Packages by traditional Red-Line and Back-Fix methods
Ensure production packages match functional design
Ensured all required BOMs and Reports are included and accurate
Ensure that all information suits shipyard fabrication methods and tools
Mentor less experienced engineering personnel
Skills And Requirements2 Years of Navisworks experience
Must have Maritime experience
5 Years of AutoCad experience
10 Years of experienced in Detailed Design in shipbuilding
Related Associates Degree Or Additional 5 Years Of ExperienceKnowledge of ABS and USCG Rules and regulations
Must be very knowledgeable on piping connection details
Ensure all details are based on Good Shipbuilding Practices
Must be proficient at MS Office Applications, especially Excel, Outlook and Word
Physical Requirements For Essential FunctionsMust be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Must Pass the Ishihara test for color blindness.
Must Pass a pulmonary function exam for positions requiring respiratory protection.
Able to lift tools up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces as small as 15”x23”.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, kneel, squat, walk, sit, or stoop. Full range of motion.
Ability to work outside, if necessary, with exposure to outside elements, e.g. heat or cold.
Must have correctable vision to 20/40.
Work DemandsWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), e.g. hardhat, face shield, safety goggles, steel toe safety shoes, respirator as determined by a Senesco Marine Job Hazard analysis.
Employees must report all accidents and injuries to supervisors and the Environmental Safety and Health Department.
Employees need to work at a pace consistent to meeting company deadlines.

Our new construction yard specializes in steel and aluminum vessel construction and offshore wind steel fabrication. Repair yard services include two (2) heavy-lift floating dry-docks, skilled labor tradespeople and a 1,200 foot pier.
