Trissential is seeking a Data Management Program Manager to join our client team remotely. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in data management, adept at overseeing complex projects and initiatives, and possesses a deep understanding of data management strategies, maturity assessments, and policy development. This role demands a strategic thinker who can develop key metrics and dashboards, manage data-focused policies, and provide knowledge transfer to team members. The candidate should excel in stakeholder management, effective communication, and creative problem-solving. This role is open only to candidates authorized to work and reside in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data management projects and initiatives
• Develop and implement strategic goals, objectives, and a roadmap for data management
• Conduct data management maturity assessments
• Create and maintain key metrics and dashboards to measure and track data and program maturity
• Develop and enforce data-focused policies, standards, and operational processes
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training to team members and stakeholders
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored data management solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project deliver
• Identify and resolve issues effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and project success

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of analytics (diagnostic, descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive)
• Proficiency in AI methodologies, including graph analysis, machine learning, and natural language processing
• Expertise in data management, including data integration (ETL) and metadata management
• Knowledge of data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data hubs
• Familiarity with data structures (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data)
• Comprehensive understanding of data governance, including MDM, data quality, and data stewardship practices
• Statistical skills with the ability to distinguish between correlation and causation
• Project management capabilities with an understanding of project management concepts and collaboration with project managers
• Ability to develop business cases and measure the impact and business value created
• Experience in decision modeling and collaboration with decision engineers
• Familiarity with UX/design principles and collaboration with design teams

Essential skills

• Basic understanding of programming languages like SQL, Python, or R and tools like R Studio
• Knowledge of data integration tools like Informatica and Talend
• Proficiency in analytics and business intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI and Tableau
• Experience with DSML platforms like Dataiku, SAS, or IBM Watson Studio
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
• Facilitation skills to host sessions, elicit ideas, and encourage group participation
• Creative thinking to frame new concepts and brainstorm with business users
• Ability to work effectively in teams, fostering collaboration with business and IT teams
• Relationship management skills to build trust with internal and external stakeholders
• Storytelling ability to create consistent narratives to enhance understanding and data literacy
• Influencing skills to assert ideas and persuade others within the organization
• Presentation skills, with comfort in public speaking and the ability to express ideas concisely to both business and technical audiences

Experience

• Proven track record in data management program leadership
• Experience in developing and implementing data management strategies and roadmaps
• Familiarity with conducting data maturity assessments and developing key performance metrics
• Background in creating and enforcing data-focused policies and operational processes
• Strong background in providing knowledge transfer and training to diverse teams
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, effective communication, and issue resolution

Benefits

Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role is $156,000 to $166,000 annually depending on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 3 weeks PTO, and 401k retirement savings.
