We are a professional search firm, and our client is in need of an Accounting Clerk. 

Job Function

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions. The duties include providing administrative assistance to the Plant Controller & Business Head.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Weekly payment of vendor invoices, including the processing of ACH batch payments.
• Maintenance of accounts payable & receivables transactions in the bank system.
• Clearing of all bank transactions for monthly bank reconciliation.
• Prepares, posts verify, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
• Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.

Skill & Experience

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
