Legal Assistant - Family Law & Personal Injury Law
I am collaborating with an amazing Fort Myers law firm. They are known for the care they give their clients and their team. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong family law and personal injury law background, with a passion for providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients. This position offers full medical and dental benefits paid 100%, an annual bonus, and a family-oriented office culture.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys, including drafting and editing legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Conduct legal research and fact-checking to assist in case preparation.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, court dates, and other appointments.
- Liaise with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals professionally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law and personal injury law procedures and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of case presentations and legal arguments.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Legal Studies or a related field.
- Proven experience as a legal assistant, preferably within family law and personal injury law.
- Proficient in MS Office and legal research software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
