Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently recruiting a full-time accountant for a publicly traded technology company that operates out of both Grand Junction, CO as well as Canada!
Responsibilities:
- maintain accurate financial records
- perform full-cycle accounting
- weekly and monthly real time reporting
- accounts payable
- accounts receivable
- reconcile bank statements and balance sheets
- prepare and process payroll
- assist with end of month and end of year closings
- generate financial reports
- assist with budgeting and forecasting
- collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights
- manage employee expense claims
- support CFO with admin duties
- verify subscription software
Experience:
- knowledge of IFR Standards - required
- GAAP knowledge - required
- QuickBooks - required
- must be be confident working independently
- proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- proficient in intermediate Excel spreadsheets
- proficient in Microsoft 365 / Office Suite
- high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- ability to effectively communicate with CFO, Sales Team, 3rd party vendors, and subscription members, buy email phone and in person
Education:
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or pending graduation)
