Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for procurement and supply chain management? Our client is looking for a Buyer, where you'll play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely procurement of direct supplies and services. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure continuity of supply to meet production needs.

· Communicate effectively across departments to meet material requirements.

· Review production schedules, job travelers, material shortage reports, and customer demand to determine material priorities.

· Requisition and maintain material inventories to support production demands.

· Arrange delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies to expedite material flow.

· Confer with department leaders to assess progress and discuss purchasing needs.

· Compile and report production progress, material inventories, and customer information.

· Contact suppliers to verify shipment details and manage order adjustments.

· Plan material purchases based on sales forecasts to support production.

· Manage safety stock levels to minimize stock outs.

· Assist in the new product launch process by purchasing materials once suppliers are identified.

· Provide documentation and information for any delays or cost changes.

· Maintain strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.

· Create and maintain Work Instructions and ensure compliance with ISO 9001: 2015 or IATF 16949 requirements.

Qualifications:

· Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of buying/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience with MRP systems and knowledge of manufacturing operations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

· Strong written and oral communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.

· Willingness to work all shifts and hours as required.

· Manufacturing experience preferred.
