The primary objective of the Design Consultant Support Specialist is to be a direct representative capable of making sound decisions on behalf of Express. This individual is responsible for assisting our Design Consultants and Sales Managers in a variety of markets with pricing and sales support. This is a position in our Corporate Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ where you are receiving incoming calls from our field salespeople and sales managers.

You will serve as a back-up for the Sales Managers when the Design Consultants need assistance with pricing or closing while on site. You will support the markets as an extension of the Sales Manager. This position will interact with various departments including sales, operations, order entry, purchasing and the call center.

This person will drive the achievement of stated goals and ensure program success with a high sense of urgency and focus on incremental revenue generation. This is a fast-paced environment where creating urgency and excitement over the phone is important.

Essential Functions

• Take inbound calls from our salespeople from their sales appointments to help them with pricing or other miscellaneous support.
• Follow-up on jobs going into Sales Hold due to information missing.
• Taking calls from our salespeople with questions (Technical, Sales Related, Stock Check Calls).
• Work towards the retention of Customers wanting to cancel their projects.
• Completing change orders or contracts digitally.
• Ensure feedback to Sales Manager for coaching opportunities for Design Consultants (DC).
• Attain Command Center sales goals and revenue objectives.
• Schedule reselections when needed for appointments for DC to return.
• Provide primary support to markets during Sales Manager PTO.
• Other duties and tasks as needed by Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or proven track record with work experience.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft office / Technology Skills to learn new programs.
• Ability to meet deadlines and operate under tight timelines.
• Inside Sales Experience preferred (Home Improvement or Similar Industry or Familiar with In-Home Sales)
• Knowledge of sales tactics, closing skills, and processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing (Operating primarily over the phone).
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with company employees, managers, customers, and prospects.
• Able to use sound business judgment and enact strong business ethics.

• Ability to work a variety of shifts to support the Sales Team. Operating Hours: 8am – 8pm Monday through Sunday.
