Overall Purpose of the Job

Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Responsible for the daily logistics activities within the base and organising local and international transport against approved quotes received from approved vendors
• Responsible for the constant review of staff’s performance, monitoring response time, service quality and KPIs
• Responsible for meetings with “key” GSP's and suppliers and their representatives & where appropriate.
• Responsible for supporting the organization to ensure that all “key” GSPs and suppliers are subjected to the appropriate level of Due diligence regards commercial and legal compliance, including frequent and planned destination interviews and audits.
• Responsible for the review of local procedures, identifying bottle necks and proposing alternatives to resolve issues on logistics processes
• Responsible for continually working with the appropriate Operations Staff within the country to ensure clear scope, definition and expectations are achieved. This will include Logistics, Country Specific Procedures, compliance training and chairing / attending logistics forums as appropriate.
• Effective communication with local management providing accurate updates on all logistics activities.
• Adhere to the Expro Business Principles & Ethics and Code of Business Conduct of being reliable, trustworthy and fair.
• Avoiding conflicts of commercial interest, ensuring accuracy of information, maintaining confidentialities and by abstaining from all forms of corruption.
• Provide Logistics operational support as required at any location within the country. Communicate KPIs, providing logistics processes visibility, support logistics staff on invoicing, import, export and control of temporary imports
• Ensuring Quality and HSEQC objectives and standards are met by suppliers and staff.
• Key interface with Expro finance department to ensure constant management of all logistics spend and finance provisions.
• Control and reduce logistics spend.
• Focal Point for any Customs Audits and be the subject matter expert in Customs Regulations and Processes.
• Manage standardized shipping procedures for the country relating to all aspects of the Logistics supply chain.
• Train all Logistics personnel within the country on Logistics SSP’s, Trade lane Agreements, Incoterms.
• Complete audits on all appropriate Expro locations and GSP providers within the country ensuring adherence to Compliance requirements.
• Identify the most cost effective methods of transport within the country to meet business requirements and report on all savings.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain / Business discipline/ Lean Six Sigma.
• Minimum of 3 years Oil and Gas or other relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years Freight Forwarding experience (International Imports and Exports)
• In-depth knowledge of Customs processes within operating countries – must be subject matter expert
• FCPA experience/working knowledge (benefit)
• Drivers Licence
• Ability to communicate effectively in English(2nd language would be desirable)
• Mid-level computing/IT skills – SAP will be an advantage
• Commercial skills – Negotiate new MSA`s and pricing with GSP`s and yearly review of MSA`s
• Time and resource management, ability to schedule and prioritise daily workload
• Project Management Skills – Co-ordination of shipments from various locations within budget and time period allocated
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment screenings (ie background check, drug/alcohol test).
