External is Hiring a Financial Analyst, FP&A Near Allegan, MI

We are hiring for a Financial Analyst to join our Sales Operations function in Allegan, MI. The person in this role will:

  • Assist the Associate Director of Sales Operations with various accounting/finance transactions, and reporting on a monthly basis, such as ad hoc reporting, monthly analysis of wholesale inventory, month end customer programs liability account reconciliations, and BW and Master Rebate reconciliations.
  • Be responsible for gathering and analyzing a variety of data pertaining to customer sales and returns, wholesaler inventory levels and liability accrual factors.
  • Complete various reconciliations and researches and resolves issues pertaining to customer discounts, returns and other variances. 
  • Will be expected to make recommendations to management regarding such analysis.

Job duties:

  • In cooperation with the Associate Director of Sales Operations, assists in month end close, by compiling and analyzing wholesaler inventory, reconciling internal payment and outstanding liability trackers, performing account reconciliations for customer programs liabilities, and completing various internal audit functions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing wholesaler purchases, sales, and inventory data to ensure wholesalers are not overcharging Padagis for chargebacks and liability balances are properly stated. Initiates and completes appropriate dispute resolution procedures to resolve improper discounts or rebates.
  • Proposes improvements to systems and methods of work and analysis and contributes to ensuring that they are continuously adapted to business requirements.
  • Responsible for the administration of the ValueTrak system, including adding new products, running ad hoc reports, and managing changes to products.
  • Responsible for a small number of customer incentives/claims otherwise handled within the Rebate Administration department.
  • Provides general analytical support to the Rebate Administration department as required including assistance in reviewing and disputing customer audit claims.
  • Acts as a back-up for the Rebate Analysts and assists with rebates, floor stock claims, and guaranteed supply claims as needed.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or closely related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Three or more (3 ) years of professional accounting experience.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of corporate accounting with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage monthly and quarterly deadlines. 
  • Strong computer proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to build relationships with external customers to dispute and negotiate customer claims.
