The Intern, Design, BIN/VDC is to gain a comprehensive understanding of site-specific activities required for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) on a project work site.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
•Under the direction of the Lead VDC Coordinator and Technology Lead:
o Support the implementation of any new VDC Technologies onsite.
o Model and manipulate Building Information Models using Revit or Civil 3D as necessary
o Regularly perform field walks to support reality capture operations (360 Cameras)
o As necessary, perform laser scanning operations using Laser Scanners
o As necessary, assist others in accessing, viewing, and reporting on field progress as captured through reality capture operations.
•Desired Skills (not necessary):
o Experience using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or Civil 3D.
o Experience using reality capture hardware (Scanners, 360 Cameras, Drones, Robotics, etc)
o Experience on a live construction site
•Competencies:
o Physically able to spend 3-4 hours per day in the field
o Technically minded individual skilled at rapidly mastering new software and hardware

• Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required
• At least a 3.0 GPA preferred
• Must be at least in Junior year of college
• Prior experience as an intern in a project team environment preferred
• Current enrollment in a relevant degree program (e.g., Construction Management)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the team.
