We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our outstanding team at Eye Care Specialists located in Hazelton, PA . The Patient Care Associate is responsible for greeting patients as they enter the practice, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other administrative tasks. Bi-lingual English/Spanish Strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Greeting patients in person and/or on the phone. Answering patient questions or referring questions to the appropriate team member. Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling. Notifying providers of patient arrivals. Providing exceptional patient care, comforting patients by effectively answering questions. Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records. Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims. Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders. Cross train in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

Requirements and Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Detail-oriented and ability to multitask. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, willing to train the right candidate. Bi-lingual English/Spanish Strongly preferred.
