With exceptional talent and innovation, we will grow as the preferred healthcare partner. We are seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition and leader for residency and fellowship program development.
Position SummaryReporting to the Co-CEO, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for spearheading the recruitment and retention of top ophthalmologists and optometrists. The Director of Talent Acquisition plays a vital role in driving our growth strategy by ensuring we hire and retain the best and brightest talent in eye healthcare to support our organization’s mission of making lives better with personalized eyecare. This role needs a people-focused person who has charisma and is an influencer.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • An extraverted personality with the ability to build trust.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive provider talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organization’s business goals and clinical needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including clinical leadership, practice managers and physicians to understand their specific talent needs. This will require frequent travel to check in on provider status.
  • Analyze and stay abreast of industry trends, competitor practices, and industry benchmarks to continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes for providers and ensure competitive offers and a strong employer brand.
  • Incorporate the use of data analytics and physician recruitment metrics to drive recruitment strategies, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  • Recruit through national and local professional meetings.
  • Oversee the provider recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, setting up interviews with CEO and physician colleagues and extending employment agreements to candidates.
  • Utilize a variety of recruitment methods, including direct sourcing, networking, social media, job boards, and partnerships with educational institutions and professional organizations.
  • Set clear expectation with prospective candidates. Be very transparent about what they can expect. Develop and promote the organization’s employer brand to attract top talent and enhance the candidate’s experience.
  • Develop and administer an OD Externship and Residency and MD Fellowship program to attract and nurture future healthcare professionals, providing them with mentorship, training, and career development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment law, regulations, and industry standards related to talent acquisition.
  • Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Executive leadership, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition or recruitment, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including practice models, compensation benchmarks, recruitment best practices, industry trends, and talent market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex talent acquisition strategies and understanding physician credentialing and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with and collaborate effectively with physicians, practice managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Passion for the eyecare industry and a commitment to improving patient access to high-quality ophthalmic care.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time to various locations as needed for recruitment activities and engagements.
