Learning & Development Specialist

Farmers Branch, TX

Location : Hybrid (T-Th in office | M & F remote)

Salary range : 72,000-80,000 Base with 5% target bonus opportunity

Eyemart Express is looking for an HR professional who has a passion for adult learning and helping others grow – both personally and professionally. This person will be responsible for managing the learning content in our, state-of-the-art knowledge and learning platform as well as managing and contributing to the development of training for our field associates and managers. We are looking for a thought provoker who is self-motivated, a team player, and flexible to change to join our fast-paced (and growing) HR Team!

Duties and Responsibilities

Training Development & Delivery

  • Conduct training and development needs assessments through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Lead in the development/production/updating of e-learning course materials including course modules, procedure manuals, guides
  • Create and manage partnerships with SMEs, instructional designers, internal and external partners in developing course content.
  • Manage production timeline with 3rd party (internal or external) content or asset developers
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Maintain regular check-ins with learning program participants to assess progress
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lectures, simulations, and video.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through available data, assessments, surveys, and feedback.

LMS Management

  • Own LMS course assignment setup, user provisioning, course deployment, digital library content, and data alignment with HRIS
  • Owns the record maintenance and data analysis of training participation and results data available in Learning Management System.
  • Leverage KPI data, reporting and training data to help leaders gain insights and make data driven decisions.
  • Maintain the compliance training calendar, including assigning learning content to associates at the appropriate time of the year.
  • Moderate content on Timeline in LMS (Axonify) and respond to items relevant to HR and/or redirect other questions/comments to the relevant departments.
  • Train internal partners on functional use of LMS platform to drive decision making for frontline work force; and provide learning technology insights to business partners and department leaders

Other

  • Provide support to the HR team with special projects related to people development

Experience & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, learning and development, training, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Vyond)
  • Experience with Learning Management System(LMS) administration required | Axonify LMS experience strongly preferred
  • Expertise in creating engaging and effective learning materials for diverse audiences. Experience with micro-learning highly advantageous
  • Understanding of adult learning theories and principles.
  • Experience in the retail industry preferred
  • Confident use of various video training/meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting, WebEx, Google Hangout)
  • Articulate Storyline 360 experience recommended

Skill Requirements

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
  • Able to build professional relationship wit stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Initiative to problem-solve by searching for solutions and presenting to management for further consideration
  • Experience managing large-scale training projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Capability to analyze training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using metrics and data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying information and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to keep all Human Resources records, data, and department activities 100% confidential.
  • Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and cope effectively with changes in pace or priorities. Sense of urgency.
  • Ability to align learning initiatives with organizational goals and strategy.
  • Highly focused on a customer service-oriented approach to your work
