Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join Eyes On Butterfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement. Job will include receptionist responsibilities-answering calls/texts, making appointments, check in/check out patients. insurance authorization/verification, submission for vision mainly and some medical claims. Optometry/Ophthalmology/Optical background preferred. Job requires some teching for doctor pretesting- experience preferred not required. Must feel comfortable with EHR systems. Other duties may include office accounting depending on experience.

Duties:

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Resolve billing issues and answer patients' billing inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in medical billing and coding procedures
- Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and other relevant coding systems
- Experience with medical records management and medical collections
- Familiarity with medical office operations and insurance claim processes
