ABOUT THE ROLE
F&M Trust is seeking a Special Assets Officer following the promotion of the incumbent into a position to be vacated due to an upcoming retirement. This role is responsible for performing loss mitigation and recovery activities regarding delinquent, nonperforming and charged-off residential mortgage, consumer, and small business loans (including investor portfolios). The successful candidate will regularly make outbound collection calls, prepare correspondence to borrowers, attorneys, title insurers, tax collectors, etc., and document all collection activities in the Bank's core processor's automated collection system. Additionally, they will administer all legal enforcement of loans, including closed and open-ended (regardless of lien position), acquisition approval and bidding, and maintenance and sale of foreclosed residential assets and repossessed assets. The individual will also manage the Bank's legal, financial, and reputation risk associated with collection of the portfolio.
This individual will report directly to the Chief Credit Officer of the bank. The home office location for this individual will be at the bank's corporate headquarters located in Chambersburg, PA. A hybrid working arrangement is available after a satisfactory introductory period and successful demonstration of key accountabilities.
This role will receive a salary commensurate on experience and comprehensive benefits package.
