About The RoleWe're seeking a highly analytical and hands-on leader to transform our warehouse operations and drive process excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale warehouse operations, developing and implementing efficient processes, and using technology to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role that requires a proactive approach to handling daily operations, with a focus on playing and analyzing data, creating metrics and KPIs, and using data to inform strategic decisions and drive improvements. As the Head of Warehouse Operations & Process Excellence, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of our warehouse operations, spotting opportunities for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize efficiency, cut costs, and improve the customer experience. You will also lead a dedicated team of over 150 employees, guiding them toward operational excellence and cultivating a culture of teamwork and innovation. Your hands-on leadership style and expertise in data-driven management will be critical in steering the operations forward. Job Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Optimize team structure and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer focus.
Operational Excellence: Craft and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures and maintain high operational standards.
Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to streamline warehouse operations, from material handling to distribution.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Lead cross-functional teams to identify and address operational inefficiencies, implementing process improvements.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to measure performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
Efficiency Enhancement: Design systems to increase throughput, reduce waste, and capitalize on efficiencies of scale.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to optimize financial health.
Technology Adoption: Lead the implementation of advanced warehouse management systems and technology.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive operations and customer satisfaction.
Change Management: Lead organizational change to introduce and sustain process improvements, aligning with broader business goals.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure operations comply with industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Supply Chain Management preferred)
8 years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain management, or a related field
3 years of leadership experience, managing teams and budgets
Proven track record in process improvement, lean principles, change management and organizational transformation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Expertise in SQL and ability to write complex queries to extract insights from large datasets
Experience with data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings
Proven ability to design and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance
Skilled in data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation to drive business decisions
Experience with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and other logistics technologies
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve exceptional results
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
