Job Description Summary As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for general maintenance, equipment movement and assisting facilities department with general maintenance with manufacturing site. Job Description Responsibilities Intermediate ability to assist with troubleshooting and repair of facilities related tasks. Repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment Participate in continuous training opportunities. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant machinery including packaging and material handling equipment. Provide general facility maintenance. On occasion work in the production areas as needed Procure maintenance supplies. Perform regular preventive/predictive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities based on established CMMS procedures. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment as needed. Operate Heavy Equipment, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, in a safe manner as per the Safety regulations. Overall building cleanliness like light bulbs, ceiling tiles Dismantles machinery to gain access to and repair or replace defective parts. Keeps all tools and equipment in good condition. Prepares and maintains records on all maintenance activities. Thoroughly and accurately completes paperwork and prepares reports. Perform necessary maintenance work such as change and clean filters and adjust dampers on heating and air conditioning systems. Maintains and repair compressors, motors, pumps, blowers, fans, and automatic controls. Check HVAC, water systems, sprinkler systems and related equipment for leaks or other failure. Promoting an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with lean thinking and Maintenance best practice. Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practices requirements maintained by the company. All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Knowledge and understanding of verification, validation, acceptance activity, and electronic signature requirements (as applicable to the job) to ensure that product, equipment, tools, processes, software, and documentation meet requirements. Qualifications/Requirements Two years working knowledge of maintenance and repairs. Effective written and oral communication skills in local language. Ability to work well with others without close supervision. Five years’ experience within manufacturing. Desired Characteristics Two-year technical degree, OR 3-5 years' equivalent experience repairing, maintaining, and/or calibrating equipment.
