At the forefront of that evolution is digital - an efficient conduit to build relationships, simplify tasks and ensure firm accessibility (on the client’s terms) throughout the experience. Today, without question, social media plays an integral part in the digital flow. As a member of the Global Marketing team, the Social Media Analyst will help shape Franklin Templeton’s social media strategy at a global scale. This individual will be responsible for analyzing the performance of firm-wide social media efforts (paid and organic) and deriving actionable insights that inform strategy. This individual will conduct both proactive and reactive social listening to better understand the landscape of conversations taking place online about our brand, our lines of business and other crucial initiatives. This person will conduct regular competitive analysis to stay abreast of trends and opportunities in the asset management social media space, monitor and escalate incoming comments and messages to ensure timely and appropriate responses. The individual will also manage the governance of our social media presence – working with legal and compliance to ensure all social media activity is properly published, monitored and archived and social media policies are followed and revised as needed. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Social Media Analyst? Social media analytics reporting (paid and organic) which involves rigorous internal tagging, establishing internal and external benchmarks, and deriving actionable insights from these reports Conduct competitor analysis to stay abreast of trends, opportunities and to adjust our strategy as needed Partner with compliance and act as a liaison with other departments to ensure all social media activity conforms to compliance and regulatory guidelines, policies are accurately and thoroughly communicated and adhered to, and all content is properly archived Manage all aspects of social media administration including, but not limited to, account security, admin governance for internal and external authorized posters, account connection to third party tools and parking of social media handles Reactive and proactive social listening to better understand conversations happening online about our global brand Daily moderation and escalation of incoming comments and direct messages Monitor the social accounts of our corporate partners and ensure the firm is following the appropriate accounts. Create social media security and risk mitigation strategies by identifying key decision-makers and a clear approval workflow Partner with Corporate Communications to create crisis management plans What ideal qualifications would help someone be successful? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience working in social media in a highly regulated industry, ideally with a focus on social media governance and analytics reporting Financial services marketing experience highly preferred, with a strong understanding of financial services Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn, Meta, Twitter/X, Sprout Social, Hearsay and Datorama metrics dashboards The ability to digest analytics and derive actionable insights from the data Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently; participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules and arranges own and team’s activities in accomplishing objectives Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Experience with building social listening reports using Boolean logic Meticulous attention to detail Experience in anticipating, mitigating and solving for security breaches and other potential risks The experience and judgement to make urgent but effective decisions in challenging situations #ASSOCIATE #LI-Hybrid Job Level: Individual Contributor Experience our welcoming culture and reach your professional and personal potential!
